Privacy

ML Atlas has no accounts, no cookies and no ads. It counts visits anonymously so we know which topics are useful, and that is all.

In short

  • No cookies, no tracking across other websites, no advertising.
  • No sign-up: we never ask for your name, email or anything else about you.
  • Visit counts are anonymous and only ever looked at as totals.
  • We do not sell or share data with anyone.

Anonymous visit statistics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool. It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device.

When you open a page, it records the page address, the website that referred you (if any), your browser, operating system and device type, and your approximate country, region and city. It can also record simple interactions on the site, such as which outside links are clicked.

Your IP address is never stored. To count unique visitors without cookies, Plausible combines the IP address and browser information with a random value that changes every 24 hours and turns them into an anonymous code (a one-way hash). This means you cannot be recognized from one day to the next, and the statistics cannot be traced back to you.

If you use a browser setting or extension that blocks analytics, the site works exactly the same.

Stored in your browser

If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the name theme, so the site remembers it on your next visit. It never leaves your device. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify's servers process your IP address and basic request details to deliver the pages and protect against abuse, and may keep them briefly in server logs. This can include processing outside your country, including in the United States.

Everything else the site needs, including fonts, math and the data behind the interactive demos, is served from ML Atlas itself. No other third-party services are contacted when you use the site.

Your rights

Because we do not collect information that identifies you, there is no personal profile to look up, correct or delete. If you are in the EU or UK, you still have the right to ask what we process and to complain to your data protection authority.
